Why are these called Easter egg commissions?
(What the heck do these characters have to do with Eggs?!)
Over a decade ago, my best friend and I had a wild idea to do a virtual Easter egg hunt where you could have the fun of hunting for colorful eggs while also being able to stay in your nice, temperature-controlled house, and no weird looks for wanting to have a little seasonal fun as an adult. We thought it would be a fun creative challenge to take the colors and patterns from the eggs, along with some loose parameters like species (and/or class for TTRPG type characters) and general personality vibe, and turn them into cool, unique characters. Turns out, a lot of other people thought this was super fun too! It has evolved into a highly anticipated yearly event that has become one of the things I am most known for as an artist.
You'll notice each of the characters has an egg next to them. This was the egg that someone found and liked enough to have turned into a character for them. They gave me details like what race or species they wanted, gender, class/subclass if they had a TTRPG type character in mind, and a couple of words/images/examples to describe the character you see them being and the rest was up to me. These characters have gone on to inspire D&D characters, book characters, fursonas, whole RP groups, and so much more!

If this seems like an event that you would like to participate in, be sure to join my Discord! All the details will be posted around Easter time!
