Frequently Asked Questions:
Do you take commissions?
-
I do! If you are interested in commissioning me, please reach out through my Contact Me page!

Do you take requests or trades?
-
I currently do not. While I may sometimes do fan art for the fun of it, I prefer to do that when inspiration strikes and I've learned I cannot do that when there is guilt from a stack of requests that I haven't gotten to.

What is your average turnaround time for commissions?
-
I try my best to get all commissions done within the month it was commissioned. However, there are times when life events or technical issues, or the nature of the piece itself will affect that. With that being the case, I have a maximum turnaround time of 90 days for digital pieces. unless otherwise discussed with the commissioner. If you have a hard deadline for when you need a piece completed, please let me know upfront so we can discuss it.

Do you do any traditional art?
-
Sketching has always been my Zen activity and I also really like watercolor! I participate in various versions of Inktober most years and it is one of the highlights of my year. With that said, I do not take traditional art commissions.

What will and won't you draw?
-
I am down with most things! The only things that I am uncomfortable with and typically do not draw are extreme fetishes and heavy mechanical pieces. With that said, if you have an idea that might fall into either of those categories, please don't be afraid to ask about it! I am happy to discuss what you have in mind and I will be honest about whether it's something I feel like I can do for you.

Do you stream?
-
I do! I currently stream on Fridays. You can find me on Twitch at https://www.twitch.tv/amberlarkart

What equipment do you use?
-
I use a Huion Kamvas pro 24 and Clip Studio Paint

How long have you been doing this, anyway?
-
I have been drawing since I was old enough to hold a pencil. In March of 2013, I made the leap to focus on art full-time and that was my full time job until 2023 when I transitioned to having an more steady traditional job and doing art part time. Art is still very much my passion, but bills must be paid so if you see fewer updates here that is why!

Your art looks familiar, where have I seen it before?
-
I have my art in quite a few places on the great wide web! Until very recently I had a number of different names that I would post my art under. You might have seen me previously as Starvinartmajor on a number of platforms, Littlemakers on Twitch, ArtbyStarvin on Twitter and Instagram, or Ambergris on Discord.

What do you like to do aside from art?
-
There are things other than art? Hah! When I am not drawing I like spending time with my friends, playing various tabletop and video games, catering to the whims of our 4 cats, collecting dice, watching other awesome creators on twitch, and occasionally going on adventures to the coast or visitng my partner in NYC.
